Johann Georg Meyer Von Bremen, Johann Sebastian Bach - Double Violin Concerto in D minor - Largo, Aileen Fisher - In One Door and Out the Other

I liked this painting of a sweet little girl knitting by Johann Georg Meyer Von Bremen

A lovely piece by Johann Sebastian Bach - Double Violin Concerto in D Minor - Largo

Two poems by Aileen Fisher from In One Door and Out the Other.  I highly recommend you check out some of her many poetry books for children.

    THE FROG AND I
The frog and I,
the frog and I
can sing and hop
but cannot fly.

We both can dive,
we both can swim
(although i can't
compete with him).

We both have skin
that's on to stay,
but mine's not green
I'm glad to say.

   PICNICS
Picnics in a box are nice,

with bread and peanut butter,
but campfire picnics are the best
when wieners split and sputter.

Cheese and jelly-bread are good,
but toasted buns are better...
and for a week
I still can smell
the campfire on my sweater.

  1. I am very much enjoying this series, Patti, and I know that my boys are going to love von Bremen's works, too, when we study them later this year. Just had to tell you that your blog inspired me to purchase yet another poetry book - I Heard the Bluebird Sing arrived a few days ago and we are all very much enjoying it. Thanks, as always, for the work you put into making the blog world a more beautiful place!

    1. Thank you so much, Dawn, for taking time to reply and let me know that you are enjoying the blog! Knowing you're enjoying it spurs me on to keep going! I have enjoyed both this artist and this poet, they're so simple and sweet. I'm trying to decide who to go with for new artists next month. Glad to know you've enjoyed this term. Blessings!
